The homeless committees for the East Hollywood Neighborhood Council and the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council met jointly on July 11, 2024 to coordinate efforts. Paul Webster, Executive Director of LA Alliance for Human Rights was on hand to discuss the settlement agreement that LA Alliance reached when it settled with the City of Los Angeles in a law suit presided by Judge Carter. As shown in the below chart, CD 13 has 241 beds open as of 3/31/24 with a goal of 1020.
CD 13 has a goal to remove 332 homeless encampments to date, and has actually removed 115.
The two committees have started to work with Council District 13 to explore where the additional beds might be placed. Join the Homelessness & Displacement Prevention Committee as we meet with Central Hollywood at our next meeting on August 1.
