EHNC Board Members have stepped into new roles as of our March 2024 Meeting:

  • We confirmed Jack Symington as our Public Health, Safety, and Sustainability Chair. Jack will be focusing on helping to make East Hollywood more bike and pedestrian friendly and will be taking the lead on the Hollywood BLVD redesign on behalf of the EHNC.
  • We appointed Vicky Olson as the EHNC representative to the city wide Emergency Preparedness Alliance. Vicky does emergency management for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, so she is an ideal representative for East Hollywood.
  • We appointed Jillian Schultz as a voting member of the EHNC Homelessness Committee.
  • EHNC finally approved EHNC Bylaw changes that would reduce the number of board seats from 18 to 14, allow for non-board members to chair EHNC committees with Governing Board approval, and reduce Governing Board quorum from 9 to 7. This is being done to make management of the board easier and to make it easier for the Governing Board to meet quorum at future meetings. These changes are pending approval of the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners.
  • EHNC has a seat for you! We have a number of open at large seats that we would like to invite you to apply for. You can also join a committee. Please contact EHNC@EastHollywood.net to express interest.
