The Daily News reported that the Hollywood Sign will be repainted over an eight week period starting September 19, 2022. The effort will require a crew of 10 people and 400 gallons of paint. This work is being done in advance of the 100 year anniversary of the sign.
East Hollywood Neighborhood Council Corresponding Secretary Jeff Zarrinnam, was quoted in the article:
“The sign is the pride of Los Angeles and we are excited for fans all around the world to see this makeover for a very special 100th anniversary,” said Jeff Zarrinnam, chair of the Hollywood Sign Trust.
