Homelessness and Displacement Prevention

Duties include but are not limited to addressing issues of homelessness and displacement within the boundaries of the EHNC; addressing stakeholder concerns with city services and non-profits; and working to prevent homelessness and displacement by connecting stakeholders with services. The Homelessness & Displacement Prevention Representative shall be chair of the Homelessness & Displacement Prevention Committee upon the seating of each new board; unless otherwise agreed upon by the board. The Homeless and Displacement Prevention committee shall meet at least six (6) times per year.

Homeless Count

Homeless Count

The Homeless Count for our area will be conducted on Thursday, February 24, from 8-midnight at Our Mother of Good Council, 2060 N. Vermont.

160 volunteers are needed.

Once you click on the above link you will be able to select your preferred date for the training webinar, please save the link and join the event at the preferred time and date listed above.

The virtual trainings will be approximately 1 hour long. They will provide the nuts and bolts on how to count, guidelines on utilizing the new Homeless Count mobile app “Akido Connect”, and tips to stay safe within your team. There will be an opportunity to ask questions during each session.
